Overview

Only one hour away from Madrid, Las Moradas de San Martín is located at an altitude of almost 900 m above sea level, to the west of the Gredos mountain range. Surrounded by century-old Garnacha vineyards, it is an environmentally friendly winery that uses biodynamic practices and is certified in organic viticulture and winemaking. Their wines, all vegan, are made using traditional methods while maintaining the utmost respect for the grapes throughout all stages of production. To do so, they work with two varieties: the century-old garnacha and the indigenous albillo real, which they have been restoring since the very beginning. Located within the D.O. Vinos de Madrid, the winery aims to capture the soul of the grapes grown in this land. Las Moradas de San Martín makes a nod to Spanish literary culture through the labels of its wines, with the works of prestigious contemporary writers such as Lorenzo Silva, Marta Rivera, Ramón Acin, Óscar Sipán, Ángeles Caso, Luis Zueco, Luz Gabás and Andrés Trapiello. Also, Las Moradas de San Martín is located within the ZEPA 56 area (Special Wildlife Protection Area for Birds). A scenic setting, of great environmental value thanks to its native flora and fauna. This environment acts as a true "natural lung", creating a pristine atmosphere that we respect and care for, carrying out preventive treatments and using only natural resources. Our visitors can enjoy this unique environment during the tours to the winery.
