Overview

The Black Male Empowerment Network (BMEN) is a network created to unite, motivate, and empower the black male community. Our aims are twofold: First, through a host of workshops and events, we want to act as a platform which identifies issues we face within our community and come up with solutions. Second, we want to increase the admission of 16-19 year-old African/Caribbean boys into higher education through a mentoring scheme. Our vision is to provide a haven where African/Caribbean men can network with each other and share banks of knowledge from various sectors. We want to inspire the next generation of young African/Caribbean men to take up prominent roles and become leaders of tomorrow.
