Overview

Shaping the minds of our next generation is at the forefront of everything we do. With 8 Ontario campuses designed to inspire students Grades 5 to 12, and average small class sizes of 12 students, we create a unique opportunity for young minds to reach their fullest potential, and ultimately shape the world. We deliver the curriculum set out by the Ontario Ministry of Education, but what sets us apart is our ability to tailor education to the individual student. Our carefully curated individualized structure allows our guidance teams and teachers to take into account each student’s learning style and areas of interest when customizing an academic plan unique to them. Students Grades 9 to 12 follow a two-semester, four term schedule, with only two subjects per term. This dynamic restructuring of the traditional academic school year promotes deeper understanding of subjects, exploration of interests of study, and in turn, prepares them for acceptance into the postsecondary program of their choice. As part of our academic offering, we provide flexible online learning to high school students through Blyth Academy Online, our academically rigorous online school. With more than 160 courses to choose from, BAO students are free to simply complete online courses at their own pace or combine our online program with our in-class full-time, night school and/or Saturday classes. Students interested in attending school virtually without compromising the immersive classroom experience, now have the opportunity to take part in live, engaging teacher-led classes, held during regular school hours, through Blyth Academy Orbit — all from the comfort of their home. This opens up the possibility for students near and far to take part in our high school programming without the need to be present in our physical classrooms. Blyth Academy is proud to be a part of the Globeducate network of international private schools, which is recognized worldwide as a leader in private education.
