Overview

Founded in 2018 by charter school educators of color in New York City, the Black Latinx Asian Charter Collaborative (BLACC) exists to ensure that all families of color in the state of New York can access excellent, high-quality public charter schools that are: - founded and/or led by Black, Latinx, and Asian people; - engaged in community development; - have culturally responsive and innovative practices; and, - provide a high-quality education to traditionally underserved communities to break the cycle of poverty and to foster an ecosystem that supports prosperity. BLACC is a membership-driven organization, currently representing 19 Black, Latinx, and Asian led public charter schools in the state of New York.
