Overview

The BioCompute Partnership (BCP) is a public-private partnership that will work to build clarity around High-throughput sequencing (HTS) workflow data communication, using the BioCompute standard. The BCP also actively works to promote the BCO standard through outreach, participant recruitment, integration with existing workflow platforms, fundraising, and recognition by international standards bodies. Around this core service, BCP offers additional services related to standardized HTS workflow data that maximize the utility of BioCompute Objects (BCO’s; files built using the BioCompute standard). The services are meant to further help build a mechanism to communicate HTS workflow data that is fluid and efficient, which serves the needs of all stakeholders, and which generate revenue for the BCP to be self sustaining. These services include compliance testing, assistance with submission or mock submission of standardized workflow data for regulatory submission, and verification of workflows as a neutral, third party.
