Bio-architecture Formosana (BaF) is a Taiwan and United States-based firm with expertise in architecture, interior design, landscape design, construction, adaptive reuse and renovation, and solar energy development. As of 2023, we have been awarded and nominated over 110 times for our diverse portfolio across private and public sectors. We have designed hotels, national libraries, research facilities, data centers, universities, art centers, and galleries. Sustainability is our core. As an industry-leading firm in Taiwan, we initiated the Taiwanese Architects Declare Climate and Biodiversity Emergency and gathered 34 signatures. Our designs received over 60 EEWH Certifications (Taiwan), more than 20 Intelligent Building Certifications (Taiwan), and 2 LEED Certifications. One of our projects, the Taipei Public Library Beitou Branch, is the first building in Taiwan to receive a Diamond Level EEWH Certification. Diversity and inclusivity, especially in the workplace, are undeniable parts of BaF’s culture. Our innovation comes from great minds from Taiwan, England, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Poland, etc.
