Overview

Bibi Graetz company was founded in 2000 in the hilltop village of Fiesole, overlooking Florence, where Bibi, who grew up in a family of artists, felt completely in love with wine and made of it his life. Thus, starting from the 2 hectares of old Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino vineyards, he created the first vintage of Testamatta and Colore. With his artistic background and his vision Bibi created something unique. From the beginning Bibi felt in love with the old vines and their astonishing fruits. This was the spark that led him to gather, over the years, the largest collection of old vines of Tuscany. Historical Tuscan grape varieties are the core of the production: Sangiovese, Colorino and Canaiolo for red wines, Ansonica for white wines. The vines are runned naturally, with hand-work and organic viticulture in order to express the features of terroirs and each single vineyard. Therefore, Bibi Graetz winery in Fiesole is the place where we close the circle: spontaneous fermentations, open barriques and punch-down transform the grapes into wines rich of personality.
