Bhumi Collective is the point of convergence for artists making art in a borderless world. We are a producing company which believes in the lesser seen, lesser heard and the lesser talked about, at our heart. We believe in facilitating the process of art-making between artists of different disciplines, from sparking initial conversations to realising ideas on the stage. We work across genres and forms to tell stories that embrace our differences in race, religion, colour and circumstances while constantly finding commonalities that connect us. We are curious, we are connected, we are Bhumi. WHAT WE DO Produce We produce and present original works by artists responding to the state of the world. We inspire associate artists, companies and producers to create work and grow professionally via avenues promoting experimentation and exchange with other artists. Research We start conversations, provoke responses, encourage investigation and champion reflection. We create and facilitate platforms and spaces like labs, residencies, performance lectures, workshops, talks and conferences, to support artists in engagement, debate and discourse about practice. Network We consult and support artists in their development by providing consultations, grant-writing services and workshops. We build and maintain relationships with our friends from around the world, furthering transnational communication and collaboration while seeking new opportunities and platforms for artists to present their works outside of their home countries.
