BHU Umwelttechnik GmbH - an engineering company (EPC) for water treatment, wastewater treatment and environmental engineering owning an extensive, multi-disciplinary and unique know-how and relying on the long-term experience of its staff. In Germany and globally we are active in plant engineering and construction of water and wastewater treatment plants for industrial clients and power plants, municipalities and public corporations as well as general contracting Partners. For all project-types and challenges it is a vital part of BHU's philosophy to implement the most recent and reliable process technologies. Modern forms of contracts and flexible project management shape the framework. BHU Umwelttechnik GmbH has deep know-how, being predestinated to solve almost every technology and process requirement in water, wastewater and sludge treatment in both dimensioning and implementation. Furthermore, we are using advanced and unique technologies for, chemical-physical, biological and thermal applications. For some applications - such as the high-performance flocculation and sedimentation reactor LHPS - BHU Umwelttechnik GmbH has issued technological licences in several countries. BHU Umwelttechnik GmbH is highly experienced in LHPS and BAF technology applied to municipal and industrial wastewater treatment applications. The StR process furthermore offers holistic treatment possibilities for municipal sewage sludge providing the following advantages: - highest production of electric power - production of ashes instead of residual waste - recovery of nutrients like phosphorous and nitrate as a fertilizer value
