Overview

Celebrating more than 20 years of family-friendly entertainment, the Bethesda Big Train is a collegiate summer baseball team located in Bethesda, Maryland, part of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League (CRCBL). Founded in 1998, as the Bethesda Community Base Ball Club (BCBBC), Big Train has made more than $500,000 worth of improvements to youth baseball and softball fields, including Cabin John #2, the youth version of Povich Field, and Jackie Robinson Field in Anacostia, home of the Fields of Dreams after-school program. The team captured CRCBL championships in 2005, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, and 2021, and was named the #1 collegiate summer league team in the country in 2011.
