Overview

Beatworks is a Bay Area based non-profit education program designed to empower young men and women in low-income communities by providing students with the skills and fundamentals of hip-hop music production, while at the same time giving students exposure to successful hip-hop producers in the music industry. The program also provides students with mentorship and goal setting skill workshops. Previous programming: Thus far, co-founding teachers Manolis Sueuga and Charles Davis have worked in schools such as Charles Drew Elementary School (Bayview SF), Frick Impact Academy (Oakland), Berkeley High school, and other schools in the east bay. Sueuga and Davis teach an intensive music production program which aims to also serve students to use music production as a creative means of therapy, as well as instilling a mindset around motivation and long term goals. learn more at beatworks.org
