Overview

Bawaqar Zindagi is the community outreach program of Caravan of Life Pakistan Trust, providing free mental health services, with a particular focus on the disenfranchised community of Shah Faisal. The program was established in 2017 to increase access to free mental health services, and change the perspective of the community regarding mental health. We envision the Shah Faisal community to be aware about mental health, recognise, respond to and encourage seeking professional help for mental health problems. Our mission is to empower individuals to become functioning members of the community through four major areas of living, learning, working and socialisation. For this purpose, we empower individuals with mental illness to reintegrate in the society through access to free mental health services, enable them to play a functional role in the society, and engage the community to play an active role in alleviating mental health problems by educating them about mental health and mental illness.
