Bass Culture is a company that organises and promotes events, providing performing facilities, booking service for both Italian and foreign performers. Since 2007 Bass Culture has been part of Assomusica, an organisation that gathers the most remarkable live show producers in Italy. Since its creation, Bass Culture has promoted several clubbing events, with famous local and international guests. It organises big live concerts, festivals and shows involving thousands of people (i.e. Locus Festival, L'Acqua In testa, Gusto Dopa Al Sole, Mediterre etc.). Bass Culture provides specific services for other promoters as well, local organisations, clubs, social and political associations; it also sponsors some products and trade marks. The booking activity has grown together with events and has promoted some artists in the nation, carefully selected within the international music scene. Different styles are offered, renowned artists together with unknown but quite good ones. Bass Culture brought legendary reggae names like Junior Delgado and Adrian Sherwood to Italy. It also promoted for the first in Italy bands like the German Seeed and Fat Freddy’s Drop from New Zealand. Bass Culture’s roster now boasts names like Gentleman, Asian Dub Foundation, David Rodigan, Nicola Conte, Roy Paci and many others, thus shifting from jazz to electronic and “world” music.
