A family run smokehouse, fishmongers and game dealers. We produce award winning smoked salmon, poultry, fish, game, specialist meats and deli. We originally started Barony Country Foods in a small converted byre at Carse of Ae Farm, near Dumfries in 1998. From this modest conception the company has steadily expanded whilst gaining an enviable reputation for our excellent produce and service. We now send our produce, not only to hotels and restaurants in Dumfries and Galloway, but to quality establishments and private customers all over the UK. In summer 2015 continued success encouraged the ambitious move to our current location in the historic town of Lochmaben. Our new premises were purpose built with state of the art refrigeration and a bright new shop where customers can browse and purchase our products from counters displaying our exceptional selection of fresh fish, shellfish, frozen and deli produce. With our well informed, enthusiastic team we aim to make your visit to Barony Country Foods a very pleasant experience. Our shop at Barony Country Foods was awarded 4 Star Tourist Shop status by Visit Scotland and we have maintained this status through to 2017/2018 We are also very proud to announce that Barony Country Foods was awarded with Dumfries and Galloway Life Magazine’s “Producer of the Year” for 2016/2017
