Piraeus Bank, founded in 1916, was listed on the Athens Stock Exchange in 1918. After recently acquiring “good” ATEbank, GENIKI Bank, the banking operations in Greece of Bank of Cyprus, Cyprus Popular Bank, Hellenic Bank and the acquisition of Millennium Bank Greece, Piraeus Bank is now the leading bank in Greece. The Group’s combined assets amount to €95 bn, net loans to €63 bn, deposits to €55 billion (data 30/06/2013). Piraeus Bank, present in 10 countries, employs 24,743 people and offers its services through its network of 1,718 branches (1280 in Greece), its ATMs and through the award winning e-banking network of winbank.
