Ballerina Swan Lake is an open source and cloud native programming language optimized for integration. Create flexible, powerful, and beautiful integrations as code seamlessly. Ballerina was developed in 2016 by WSO2 as a code-based alternative to configuration-based integration tools such as EAI, ESB, and workflow products. Ballerina Swan Lake was first released in February 2022. It has various constructs geared toward cloud-native development including support for modern data formats and protocols, reliability, distributed transactions, APIs, and event streams.
