Overview

What is BEL? The BEL Initiative is an entrepreneurship program of the Georgia Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce that provides education, mentorship, access and exposure to entrepreneurs from Haiti by hosting them in the United States for the summer. Haitian entrepreneurs are exposed to doing business in the U.S. with opportunities to improve their business acumen while helping to launch or refine existing business plans. Fellows return to Haiti after the program committed to implement attained knowledge, resources, and solutions to their businesses and local communities. Business, Entrepreneurship and Leadership, are some of the key pillars we believe are needed to transform the economic landscape of Haiti. BEL is also a Haitian-Kreyol word that means beautiful, it is our goal to contribute to making Haiti beautiful in measurable ways. Our Mission The BEL Initiative seeks to stimulate investments, job creation, and sustainability in Haiti by driving business development, promoting entrepreneurship, and cultivating transformational leadership.
