The Open University is for everyone! Open University (JYUOpen) is an integral part of the University of Jyväskylä, promoting educational equality and lifelong learning. We are proud to call ourselves the largest and most versatile open university in Finland, with 14 000 students annually. The Open University offers around 40 bachelor-level subjects in Finnish from the faculties of the University of Jyväskylä, as well as a wide range of general studies. We are specialized in distance learning – web-based learning environments play a significant role in our study. The Open University of the University of Jyväskylä provides and develops university teaching to promote educational equity and lifelong learning. Its services are created in collaboration with the University’s faculties and other units as well as the users of the services.
