Overview
Our focus at Autism Canberra Psychology Centre is to help children and adults alike obtain the psychological support that they need, whether that be through our LEGO®-based therapy groups, our counselling / therapy services (with a clinical, registered or provisional psychologist), and / or our assessment services (with a clinical, registered or provisional psychologist). We are able to assess children, adolescents and adults for a variety of psychological conditions that will then open the door for further understanding and support for the individual. As our assessments are approved and signed off by our lead Clinical Psychologist, these assessments are then recognised by governing bodies (such as the NDIS). Whether it be at school, at home, at work or within another setting, support can include behavioural support, educational support, social skills support and so forth. This often takes the form of an ILP (individual learning plan) at school for children. NDIS support can also potentially be obtained. Our counselling / therapy services are available ASAP with our Registered Psychologists via video-call software, or face-to-face with our Registered or Provisional Psychologists at our rooms in Gungahlin, Canberra. Our LEGO®-based therapy groups are open to children aged 6-16 years old, and focuses on developing the participant's social skills, communication and language skills, cognitive skills, fine motor skills, and their emotional and behavioural responses. Autism Canberra Psychology Centre is here to help! 🤗❤️
