Australian Seafood Industries Pty Ltd (ASI) is a grower-owned company formed in 2000 to carry forward the Pacific oyster selective breeding program which commenced in Australia in 1997. ASI supplies selectively bred broodstock to commercial hatcheries, who then produce spat for sale to commercial farms in South Australia, Tasmania and New South Wales.
