Auburn University Department of Poultry Science

Higher Education

Overview

Auburn's Poultry Science Department is one of six poultry science departments in the U.S. Through our undergraduate and graduate degrees, we prepare our students to work and thrive in the poultry industry locally and globally. Our undergraduate programs have a 100% full-time job placement rate with an average starting salary of $50,000 to 60,000. Our graduates are well-prepared due to the hands-on experience they gain through their Auburn courses and internships. Thanks to the recently completed Charles C. Miller Jr. Poultry Research and Education Center, our graduates have first-hand knowledge and experience working with industry technology. As a department and college, we know that college tuition can add up quickly which is why the College of Agriculture gives out over $1 million in scholarships and the Department of Poultry Science gives out an additional $120,000 to its students. We want all of our students to be successful here at Auburn and long after. For more information about joining our flock at Auburn, reach out to the Poultry Science Recruitment Coordinator, Bethanie Gulley, at 334-750-6702 or bethanie.gulley@auburn.edu.
