The Atlanta Black-Owned Relief envisions expanding as a resourceful network that provides opportunity and space for black entrepreneurs to thrive in collectively. The Atlanta Black-Owned Relief is devoted to uplifting, educating, and encouraging black entrepreneurs to become successful and independent. The Atlanta Black Owned Relief was formed into existence based on the unfortunate events that preceded the Death of George Floyd, the summer of 2020, which transcended from forthright protesting to outrageous looting and destruction of business property within the city of Atlanta. Many of the commercial properties that faced unwarranted damages were black-owned businesses. We understand the historical gem that the city of Atlanta has played within black history. Our founders also saw the devastation that caused our city to fall apart based on the disappointment of the state of racism, discrimination, and inequality that has been present in our residing country and capitalistic society. This issue is what established the intention to rebuild and restore black-owned businesses.
