Overview

The Associazione degli Studenti di Scienze Politiche (ASSP), i.e. the Political Sciences Student Association of the University of Trieste was created in November 1997. The aim of the association is to promote a high level cultural activity for the students, in order to associate moments of learning, analysis and thinking with moments of pleasant socialization, under a constant knowledge growth. During the delicate period of time which characterizes our age, while the human society has to face new and more complex aspects of the world development as well as dangerous sources of instability, the Political Sciences students feel the need to encourage privileged moments of integration and of dialectic comparison: the Political Sciences, open to the multidisciplinary education of the spirit, represent the natural reference for all those who wish to better deepen the subjects connected with history, law, economics, society, politics, culture of the contemporary world. ASSP has organised training excursions in Trieste, in Istria and in Friuli regions; ASSP has organized as well an international seminar on the EU enlargement and some moments of integration and socialization for foreign students, who choose Trieste every year as destination of their Erasmus journey. ASSP interacts with pleasure with other students associations and will go on to work with enthusiasm for all those university students, attending any sort of university program, who feel the need to acquire a deeper knowledge of the international environment, by improving their level of the foreign languages and their familiarity with the institutions which significantly intervene in the dialogue among people.
