The Associated Cooperage Industries of America (ACIA) serves as the professional society for individuals in the wooden barrel industry and related services, and serves as an educational and networking resource to promote and support the common interests of its members. ACIA membership is made up of cooperage firms, producers of stave and heading, distillers, vintners, and other organizations whose business interests are allied to the wooden barrel. Formed on January 29, 1934, ACIA was incorporated in the state of Delaware, New Castle County.
