The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) is a global professional association seeking to advance heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) systems design and construction. Founded in 1894 it now has more than 50,000 members worldwide, composed of building services engineers, architects, mechanical contractors, building owners, equipment manufacturers, employees, and others concerned with the design and construction of HVAC&R systems in buildings. ASHRAE MAIT, which is affiliated to ASHRAE India Chapter, has achieved a lot in its initial phase. We are working primarily in the field of air conditioning and refrigeration. The HVAC&R industry is an industry which finds its application in a variety of other industries ranging from Building, Automation to Defense and Aerospace. We aim to work on and develop new technologies that generate a new sense of innovation in our members and our institution.
