When Old Persian artisans would pull vibrantly colored strings and loom them around reels of thread to be imprinted and embroidered as delicate flowers on a piece of cloth, it was coined the term TaarKashi. A derivative from this process is the suffix كش, which denotes the “skill to build”. In a wisp of inspiration, ArtKash Studios came into existence for the sole purpose of building art, as it’s name aptly stands for. To us, art encompasses everything. From the whiffs of delicacies concocted by homemakers in their kitchen, or the thump of tools used by a cobbler in lieu with the mending of a shoe, to the geometric placement of pins, needles & interweaving of thread by a fashion designer, every painstaking movement made with passion and determination is a step closer to building art.
