Overview

Invictus Maneo, the Armstrong Clan motto, translates from Latin as "I Remain Unconquered." Over 150 years ago, sailing from Scotland to Nova Scotia, William Armstrong survived a shipwreck with his wife and two children by using his carpentry box as a flotation device, washing ashore on the banks of what is today Machias Maine. His descendants at Armstrong Carpentry strive to emulate the workmanship, adaptability, and stolid attitude that has served our bloodline well for centuries.
