Overview

The focus of the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services is to provide individuals the tools they need to enhance and sustain their employability. And, through the education and skills training offered to jobseekers, employers are reducing hidden costs associated with lost production time and turnover rates by hiring qualified workers. Products and services can be categorized into three main groups: Unemployment Insurance, Employment Assistance (Jobseeker services and Employer services), and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. ADWS offers these services at Arkansas Workforce Centers located throughout the state. ADWS continues to build effective partnerships with other organizations to better serve customers. Through these partnerships, ADWS and its partners are able to leverage each other’s core competencies and resources. Because the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services is a state agency, it does not earn a profit and does not measure success by business growth and expansion. The agency is unique from other Arkansas state agencies in that it is 99 percent federally funded with taxpayer dollars.
