Overview

We tell the human story through media distributed online and on cable TV. Our principal project is The Archaeology Channel (archaeologychannel.org), our streaming-media Web site, which has been streaming continuously since the summer of 2000. TAC is one of the longest-running streaming media Web sites! The mission of ALI is to develop ways to make archaeology more effective both in gathering important information about past human lifeways and in delivering that information to the public and the profession. A fundamental postulate is that archaeology has important messages to deliver accurately and completely to people worldwide about our origins and development. In essence, ALI is devoted to archaeological research and its contributions to science and to humanity. We utilize media entertainment to get our messages across by means of The Archaeology Channel. We offer: --Video News from TAC: http://www.archaeologychannel.org/video-guide/video-news-from-tac --Video Guide Map for streaming media content: http://www.archaeologychannel.org/video-guide/video-guide-menu/video-guide-map --Audio News from Archaeologica: http://www.archaeologychannel.org/audio-guide/audio-news --Other audio content: http://www.archaeologychannel.org/audio-guide --TAC International Film and Video Festival with available streaming video content: http://www.archaeologychannel.org/events-guide/international-film-and-video-festival --And much more!
