ENGLISH WILL FOLLOW Depuis 20 ans, l’AQEIPS travaille pour l’égalisation des chances en éducation. Nos membres sont des personnes en situation de handicap qui ont eu le droit d’étudier dans des classes régulières et, par conséquent, ils ont eu l’option de continuer leurs études postsecondaires. La promotion du modèle social du handicap, ainsi que de l’accessibilité universelle en pédagogie, guide nos efforts pour bâtir une société vraiment inclusive, où le cycle de la pauvreté et de l’isolement est brisé grâce à l’accès à la même qualité d’éducation des étudiants qui ne sont pas en situation de handicap. // The AQEIPS is the Quebec Association of Postsecondary Students with Disabilities For the past 20 years, AQEIPS has been advocating for equal opportunities in education for postsecondary students with disabilities. Our association is made up of persons with disabilities who were able to attend regular classes in elementary and secondary school and who, as a result, had the option to pursue postsecondary education. The promotion of the Social Model of Disability and of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guides our efforts towards building a truly inclusive society, one in which the cycle of poverty and isolation may be broken by ensuring that students with disabilities have access to the same level of education as do students without disabilities.
