Once the coding standard is established, even analyst can be thought how to break down common implementations to their respective equivalent in the code. ➣ Small tasks - easy to estimate & quicker progress updates ➣ Small commits - easy to review and find problems before the bug appears Our process highlights: ➣ Story Templates - We have standard application core. Everything else we need to estimate. We reverse-engineered our code for common tasks to see what exactly we do each time. Then we created templates for such stories. ➣ Story / Task breakdown - We like very small subtasks, which are easily developed, reviewed and estimated. Having majority of subtasks estimated below 2 hours can greatly reduce uncertainty related to the project progress. ➣ Well defined interface for each Task - Project Manager or Analyst break task down expecting that once all tasks are done, app is ready for publishing.
