Overview

Founded in December 2016, the American Talent Initiative (ATI) is a long-term alliance of the nation’s top colleges and universities working to expand access and opportunity, spanning size, sector, and geography. Together, they are committed to a core goal: enroll, support, and graduate an additional 50,000 high-achieving students from lower-income backgrounds by 2025. In service of this mission, ATI members make measurable progress toward individual lower-income student enrollment goals, contribute to research and knowledge-sharing opportunities, and help drive the national dialogue on college access and success. ATI is supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies and co-managed by Ithaka S+R and the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program, two leading higher education organizations.
