Overview

The American Society of Safety Professionals is a global association for occupational safety and health (OSH) professionals. Since 1911, we have supported OSH professionals in their efforts to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses and fatalities. We provide education, advocacy, standards development and a professional community to our members in order to advance their careers and the OSH profession as a whole. We respect the rights of individuals using social media to voice their views and opinions. However, within our social media channels, we reserve the right to remove comments that are considered inappropriate, off-topic, abusive, or are being used to promote and solicit for third-party sites, initiatives or products. Please keep comments related to the topics presented and always show respect for other members of this community. We monitor this space actively to facilitate dialogue and to enforce our social media policies. We reserve the right to block individuals from participating if they demonstrate inappropriate or abusive behavior. HOW TO ACT - Be positive. Respect people as individuals by keeping your tone positive and your comments constructive. Don't post content that is inappropriate for the workplace. Don't solicit, advertise or use profanity. - Be helpful. Everyone is here looking to learn and improve. - Protect privacy. Don't share anything about yourself or your organization that you would not want to see on a road-side billboard. - Share, share, share. You have great experiences that can help others. Share them! Volunteer leaders are required to follow our Volunteer Social Media Policy: https://www.assp.org/about/society-bylaws-and-guidelines/society-operating-guidelines/sog-section-2.4 All members are required to follow our Code of Professional Conduct: https://www.assp.org/about/society-bylaws-and-guidelines/code-of-conduct To ask questions or share feedback, please contact social@assp.org.
