Overview

AIA Detroit, a Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, is the most prominent voice for the profession of architecture in the Detroit metropolitan area. AIA Detroit seeks to improve the practice of architecture and the quality of the built environment, and is dedicated to the following principles: > Advancing the values of quality architecture and design > Increasing the public’s awareness of architecture’s value to society > Providing members with lifelong learning through continuing education to assist the practice of architecture > Cultivating relationships between architects and the community > Affirming that architects are valued collaborative leaders in shaping the built environment for the public good Founded in 1891, and has over 900 members in the Metro Detroit Area.
