The School’s Brief History By the end of 2018, five organizations brought together the common wish to create a Health Education initiative that could congregate executive and academic training on many of the subjects that concern the provision of health care, identifying the need for . Degrees and credits from a distinguished medical school The creation of such a teaching centre was made possible with the efforts and dedication of founders during 2019.A new structure, with construction to be finalized by 2022, was designed focusing in Lifelong Health Education for health care professionals while looking to contribute and impact Health Education and also the Health of Individuals at large, thus becoming a flagship project for Portugal. The five visionary founding partners of the project are: - Nova Medical School - Nova University - CUF - Associação Nacional das Farmácias - Santa Casa da Misericórdia - Câmara Municipal de Cascais Mission Anticipating the future of health and health care, AHED produces and delivers health education programs that will enable professionals to advance their knowledge and skills, tackling their potential to the fullest across all stages of the professional cycle, exceling in their performance, and thus benefiting the health of individuals and populations. Vision To fulfill its mission, AHED will identify trends in health and health care, build and articulate innovative educational contents and human and physical resources, attracting national and foreign students and experts that seek for unpaired knowledge and skills in health.
