For many Agriculture is a practice of Farming, including cultivation of soil for growing crops and the rearing of animals to provide food, wool, and other products/raw materials. But for us, Agriculture is not just about growing crops and rearing animals, it is the backbone of the society (India) that employs more than 58% of the population and contributes around 18% of GVA. It is a key to social and economic development. Though Indian Agriculture sector has transformed over the years there are still a lot of shortcomings that needs to be addressed i.e., throughout the Agriculture Value Chain. So, keeping the shortcomings in cognizance we focused on creating a "Connecting, Conferring, and Collaborating" platform (both Online and Offline modes) called "Agrowcult" that will focus on uniting and helping farmers, startups, businesses, and the ones present at various levels of the agriculture value chain. Coming to Agritech, India’s Agritech sector, valued at $24 billion, has a significantly low market penetration of 1%. Many Agritech startups have taken advantage of increased internet penetration and digital outreach in rural areas to build solutions to tackle these challenges but, even though the startups have made significant progress, the market challenge remains. These challenges are related to the supply side as well as the demand side. Keeping Agriculture Sector and Agritech Domain in cognizance, Agrowcult will make sure that every aspect that strengthens and unifies agriculture and allied sectors will be connected and concentrated. It will focus on growth and development of Agriculture and Allied Sectors. Agrowcult's mission is to transform Subsidy Dependent Sector to a Demand Driven sector.
