Overview

AGACI is a duly registered not for profit, non governmental environmental organization that brings together people with green and smart climate change mitigation innovations to promote and sustain eco friendliness in development through just transition, circular economy cum climate action/policy research, renewable energy and lastly adaptive governance in the stewardship of natural resource utilization. Through its staff in charge of climate change, just transitions and policy, Agaci-Ghana performs the following functions: • Offer expert advise on climate policy in Ghana • Have experience leading bilateral and global projects on climate change, environment, disaster risk management, and regenerative agriculture in Ghana, Vietnam, and Columbia. • Offer guidance on contracting with, managing, and ensuring the quality of partners and outside service providers in order to integrate Ghanaian initiatives (such as INDCs) into the global climate change agenda. • Have expertise in developing a stakeholder map and plan of operation for any climate change-related project. • Advisor on just transitions through the implementation of activities such as the promotion of existing, potentially green sectors such as renewable energy, waste, and the circular economy • Advisor on innovative technologies and business models of the circular economy, especially on climate mitigation potential • Advisor on the implementation of a national just transition strategy; Liaison with partners and key political stakeholders • Reviewing Climate action and activities of other related projects of German and international development cooperation
