Africa Science Gateway (Pty) Ltd is a leading African empowered and emerging programme development and publishing firm based in Cape Town, with offices in Lagos, providing research and innovation support services and helps Africa-based research and higher education institutions, government departments, think tanks and industry develop integrated research management software, eLearning portals and science communication networks to promote science, technology and innovation value creating aspirations for future generations and global competitiveness through its corporate Engagement, Impact and Efficiency (EIE) Strategic Plan 2023. As a leading African empowered emerging organisation, ASG is dedicated to promoting knowledge management and fostering the uptake of African research outputs globally by supporting programmes enabling university-government-industry partnerships, providing capacity development funding, and developing frameworks that outline the participation of all stakeholders to bridge the gap between scientific understanding and public knowledge of science, its transfer, exploitation, and commercialization. Africa Science Gateway™ platform is Africa’s next generation global research and innovation network making it easy and efficient for scholars, investigators, change managers, science communicators, development officers, professionals, industry experts, and policymakers to access news insights, funding opportunities, create projects, collaborate and share knowledge with their peers globally, which is at the forefront of the continent’s vision and transformation. ASG, therefore, tackles the issue of ineffective dissemination, by putting more emphasis on avoiding deficiencies in the research uptake, transfer and knowledge to practice giving African institutions an edge in the globalisation of research-driven institutions. Furthermore, in collaboration with the SI-Foundation, ASG provides capacity strengthening research and development small grants.
