The Association of Females in Mechanical Engineering, AFIM by its Spanish abbreviation, was established in order to encourage a minority group into the mechanical engineering field. Likewise, to diminish and eventually eradicate gender stereotypes and provide to the contemporary society a more integrated team of young industrialists willing to develop a positive change. AFIM’s basic purpose is to excel in developing strategies in order to unite mechanical engineers into becoming elements of transformation and to promote technical and humanitarian advancement.
