Overview

Advocates for Healthy Transitional Living, LLC provides comprehensive, collaborative teams that support youth and families in their homes and communities. Advocates builds a community of formal and informal supports around the child and family – a “village” – that supports youth struggling in their current placements, whether it be their home, school, or local communities. Advocates will collaborate to create successful programming for at risk youth and families by working closely with the systems that serve them – counties, schools, and providers. Credentials: Advocates’ Treatment Foster Care Program – Foster Care Academy – is licensed as a Child Placing Agency by the State of Wisconsin to provide Level 3 and 4 treatment foster care. Our Story: Advocates for Healthy Transitional Living, LLC was established in 2011 by Executive Director, Dan Holstead, LCSW, as an agency providing comprehensive, collaborative teams to support youth and families in their homes and communities. Dan Holstead has over 25 years experience working with youth and families in foster care, residential, and community mental health settings. Advocates has experienced strong growth in the past three years, growing from 12 employees to over 30 employees and serving many youth and families in Northeast Wisconsin.
