Maryanne Jacques who has been involved in the tourism industry for over 40 years founded Adventure North Australia in 2004 and sold the company in 2019. Cairns Discovery Tours has been operating since 1994. Having previously worked for the company, Maryanne had the opportunity to purchase the business in 2012.
