Overview

ADQIA is an aquaculture biotechnology company founded in 1992 in Ecuador. ADQIA was created by leveraging the knowledge of its founders with more than 50 years of experience in R&D of yeast and the local shrimp industry that is the second largest exporter in the world. ADQIA is the aquaculture division of Interconsorcio. Interconsorcio provides a range of advance and innovative environmentally-friendly biotech products for the aquaculture, agriculture and veterinary industry. ADQIA has developed microbiological products and enzymes that improve water/field conditions (i.e. cleaning, sanitation, water treatment, waste water, environmental remediation), immunological resistance (increase disease control) and food conversion factors (enhance animal nutrition). Interconsorcio’s expertise has helped more than 400 clients in Brazil, Central America, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Venezuela. ADQIA focuses its R&D on three areas: Disease prevention and control (e.g. using yeast as the base of the biotechnological innovation), Sustainable Growth (e.g. enhancing animal nutrition or food conversion), and Resource Improvement (e.g. improving growing water or field conditions).
