Overview

The Lake Michigan States Section of the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA-LMSS) is a unit of the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA). The Section covers Illinois, Northwest Indiana, Wisconsin, and Western Michigan with chapters of the association represented throughout the region. The Air and Waste Management Association is a professional society of those working and studying in the environmental fields. Including scientists, engineers, lawyers and related professions from government, industry, academia, consulting and non-governmental organizations, we meet in neutral forums to advance the profession, personal professional development and the environment. The purpose of the A&WMA-LMSS is to promote a better understanding and awareness of the challenges that exist in air pollution control, waste management, processing and control, and environmental management programs among representatives of industry, government agencies, research personnel, educators, attorneys and consultants within the geographic area of the Section. The Section works toward promoting closer professional and personal relations among members of the Section and to further the mission and objectives of the Association.
