  Inspired Solutions was incorporated in the Sultanate of Oman in 2011, the head office is in Muscat. The company is wholly owned and managed by William R. Crew. The company’s practice areas include: 1. Designing and managing SME accelerators for Omani owned small businesses. Generally financed through CSR funding from local and international oil companies and public corporations. • To date we have accelerated almost 150 SMEs. • We have significantly contributed to the diversification of the national economy. • Our latest accelerator, “Eco-Innovate Oman” is to be launched in Q4, 2018. 2. Provide SME credit risk consultancy to banks and MFIs in Oman, MENA, and E. Africa. • We have trained over 200 credit officers predominantly in cashflow-based SME credit analysis. 3. Provide product development services for banks in Oman, MENA and E. Africa. • We design/develop/implement traditional credit products. • We also design non-financial services products. • We position this as part of banks’ client retention and risk mitigation process. 4. Development of enhanced SME investment channels • We are fund raising an impact investment fund to support the Eco-Innovation Accelerator being launched in Q4 of 2018. • We have developed an angel investor network to provide equity finance to Omani SMEs. • We provide match making services for Omani SMEs and strategic equity investors. 5. Provision of In Country Value Consultancy • We are contracted by local oil companies to provide local content (ICV) consultancy. • We develop the quality of the SME suppliers in their supply chains. In addition to these specific practice areas we provide one off consultancy projects such as economic, market, and risk analysis in MENA and E. Africa. Show less

  General Manager of the GroFin/Intilaaqah SME investment fund (financed by Shell Development Oman). Structured and approved debt and equity investments in Omani owned and operated SMEs. Provided leadership and management of an Omani finance investment (due diligence) team. I had full P&L responsibility for the Omani operations. During my tenure as the GM, I reduced the average investment size to better reflect the capacity of the investees. In addition, I aggressively pursued and restructured or liquidated delinquent investees. The results were a material increase in performing loans and investments. The legal liquidation of non performing investees resulted in negotiated settlements which saved much more of the initial investment then would otherwise have been the case. Show less
