2010 - 2016
I joined McCutcheon Hogan (former name) in 2002 and worked as a planning consultant with the practice until he became a Director in 2010. In my 14 years with the practice I initially contributed to and then led multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of projects in every development sector. During my time at McCutcheon Halley Walsh, I managed the planning interests of a number of large private and multi-national clients that included EMC2, Stryker and Apple Operations Europe. I provided my clients with a full planning and management service. These service included advice on the appointment of design teams, administration and supervision of the design process, all planning consultancy services and responsibility for the guidance of projects through the planning system. 1998 - 2002
I joined Donegal County Council direct from UCD at the beginning of the construction boom. From 1998 to 2002 I was the Planner responsible for development management in the Milford Electoral Area. This principally involved the processing of planning applications and managing and overseeing the work of other professional planners. During his time with the Council I assessed and managed planning applications for large-scale and sometimes contentious residential, tourism and telecommunications projects. Other key tasks involved liaising with the Elected Officials and members of the general public on planning matters including the presentation of Draft Plans at public meetings. Show less
