  Having spent two summers working at Icelabz Survey, I gained much experience in surveying. The role included surveying residential and commercial buildings using 3D laser scanners and total stations, and producing engineering drawings such as floor plans, elevations and sections. I was exclusively responsible for checking the work produced by senior surveyors which required an eye for detail. Over my time at Icelabz Survey, I became proficient in manipulating 3D point clouds using Autodesk ReCap, 3D AutoCAD and FARO Scene software. I have also undertaken a training course offered by FARO, which allowed me to better understand the operation and interaction between the hardware and software, improving the way point cloud data is captured and the registration process of the scans.
