  As an intern at the Frankfurt Research Group for Network Security, my primary focus was on ensuring the security and resilience of networked applications. I contributed to a project that aimed to enhance the robustness of communication between computer systems, helping to achieve security goals such as confidentiality, integrity, and availability. My responsibilities included testing the resiliency of popular programming algorithm that provide mutual exclusion access to see the robustness of such systems in unreliable enviroment or adversarial networks. This is done by emulating a hostile enviroment and test the system under question using a fuzzy testing method.I documented and presented the results of these experiments, contributing to the research group's ongoing efforts in network security. Throughout my internship, I actively participated in the research group's day-to-day activities. This experience allowed me to develop essential skills in independently executing and evaluating software projects. Additionally, I deepened my understanding of computer networks and information security, and gained practical experience in academic work and applied research. Show less
