I was initially hired by SSP as a consultant due to reoccurring issues with several products. After 4 years as a consultant they asked me to become a full time employee so I could spend more time working with the younger engineers and lab personnel. In this role I instructed engineers, sales personnel and lab technicians in valve and fitting components, including metal chemistry, material chemical compatibilities, including material design, micro and macro hardness testing, sample preparation, corrosion investigations and grain structure production. I made engineering recommendations in elastomers, lubricants and polymers, product development, quality control, return failure analysis, product testing, and equipment maintenance and rebuilding. Laboratory Supervisor Lokring Technologies, Willoughby, OH 2021 to 2022 I was asked to join Lokring by the owner to completely rebuild their testing facility. They had some test equipment and microscopes that had been damaged and totally neglected. It took many months to clean, repair and replace most of the equipment. After 4 months I hired a full time employee and we both continued to repair and clean the area. I then created a metallography room that contained a high tech microscope with a high resolution camera, a metallograph with magnifications up to 600X, a Rockwell tester using B and C and a Wilson Tukon Microhardness tester set up with Vickers. I also set up an area for sample preparation which included a sample cut saw, two polishing units and several acids for grain observation. I made engineering recommendations in materials, product development, quality control, return failure analysis, product testing, and equipment maintenance and rebuilding. I also designed several new products for future consideration. Show less

Family operated full service laboratory specializing in metallurgical analysis, microscopy evaluation, material chemistry, lubrication failure analysis, hydrostatic and pneumatic testing and high pressure burst capabilities. For over 5 years we conducted failure analysis, product investigations, returns analysis and product redesign and component analysis for over 150 companies. I provided consulting guidance, creation of test protocols and test equipment production that would duplicate a customer’s application. My customer base included various manufacturing companies and several major valve and fitting companies. I assisted in the design and testing of valves and a manifold assembly to be used in a world wide CNG distribution system. I invented, designed and tested an innovative pneumatic/hydraulic pump and valve system for a customer. Show less
