He is dual board certified in Sports and Orthopedics from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and is certified in Dry Needling from the Spinal Manipulation Institute. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.Talal manages the largest Sports Medicine Institute for the Memorial Hermann hospital system in Houston, Texas. He oversees highly specialized physical therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapist assistants, physical therapist residents, athletic trainers, human performance staff and rehabilitation technicians all under one roof. His interdisciplinary team works very closely with UT Orthopedic Physicians partners which are co-sponsored under the IRONMAN brand. His clinic utilizes elite level treatment techniques that are evidence-based and research proven for effectiveness.Talal treats patients of all levels and specializes in working with active individuals to achieve their goals. He enjoys educating patients on preventative injury strategies and screening, as well as mentoring and clinical teaching. Talal works closely with many physicians to educate physical therapists in the Houston area on how to correctly manage difficult cases.Currently, Talal also serves as faculty for Memorial Hermann’s Residency programs.
