In addition to being a Contributing Editor/Writer for "The American Rose", the national magazine of the American Rose Society, I am also the Vice District Director of the Pacific Southwest District of the American Rose Society, head of the Horticultural Exhibitor's Committee and a member of the Combined Registration & Classification Committee, the Miniature & Miniflora Rose Committee and a judge on the Newsletter Evaluation Committee. I am also a Master Rosarian and a Horticultural Judge. Keeps me busy.

I am the immediate past President of Pacific Rose Society and am now serving a two year term as Vice President in charge of Programs. I have held various other positions within the organization since 2006. I also write for national magazines and speak and teach for various organizations on various rose-related topics. I am also a national rose exhibitor, a Master Consulting Rosarian, a Horticulture Judge, Chairman of Judges, and I was just awarded the Outstanding Consulting Rosarian Award for the Pacific Southwest District for 2014.

I was employed here for nearly 5 1/2 years in the Workers' Compensation field working with some great attorneys who continued to increase my skills by sharing their years of experience and knowledge. I established a highly successful and profitable Lien Unit resulting in huge savings for our clients. I only left because business fell off for the company to such an extent that there was not enough work for me to do. This was a great opportunity to utilize my writing and negotiating skills, and I look forward to working in a similar position because I really love the work.
